Invoked by the FacetChooser just before the FacetPanel is made visible, so that it can optionally start a thread that initializes its contents. This method is also invoked when the underlying Repository contents change.

highlightValues

Suggests the FacetPanel to highlights values according to the current set of selected Items. All facet values that match with one or more of these Items (or a similar correlation measure) should be highlighted.

loadState

Invoked by the FacetChooser upon construction. This is meant for loading UI configuration, etc. In other words: info that can be loaded fast and does not have to be reloaded during a session. The contents of this FacetPanel (the shown facet values) should not be loaded until prepareContents is invoked, as this is assumed to be a more expensive operation that is only invoked for actually visible FacetPanels.


saveState

Invoked by the FacetChooser during shutdown.


getPrefs

Get a Preferences node to store the FacetPanel's configuration in. This assumes that every FacetPanel uses a unique name to identify itself.
